- 2 cups rolled oats
- 300 g pitted dates (roughly chopped)
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 2 tbsp ground chia seeds
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 50 g dark vegan chocolate
- Line a 9×9 baking dish and preheat oven to 180°C / 160°C fan .
- Combine rolled oats, ground chia seeds and ground flaxseeds in a bowl and set aside.
- Add water and chopped dates into a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes or until mixture starts to become thick.
- Take saucepan off the heat and mix in baking soda.
- Pour mixture over the dry ingredients.
- Add in the maple syrup and stir until everythings well combined.
- Pour mixture into baking dish and press until its levelled and even.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Once baked allow to cool completely.
- Melt vegan dark chocolate and drizzle over the bars!
