About Me - Cooking With Parita

I'm Parita, a FOOD PHOTOGRAPHER, VEGAN RECIPE DEVELOPER and BLOGGER, based in LONDON,UK.

After becoming vegan, I became obsessed with creating and sharing recipes with my loved ones. I wanted to show everyone how me becoming vegan wasn't 'weird' or 'boring' and that I could still enjoy authentic Indian recipes, cakes, cookies, bread, get enough protein etc.

Here, on my blog, you'll find an abundance of REAL GOOD vegan recipes! All my recipes are vegan, but I also do have plenty of gluten-free, soy-free & nut-free options, there is something for everyone!

Whether you’re vegan, plant-based or even plant-curious, I hope these recipes inspire you to cook mindfully + with love.

About Me
my Story

My name is Parita Kansagra and I’ve lived in London for most of my life, apart from the time I was studying commercial photography at the Arts University of Bournemouth.

My relationship with food wasn’t always the best. Before becoming vegan, I had no interest in cooking, this led me to eat mainly junk food. I’d eat at McDonald's pretty much every day and sometimes even eat a pack of biscuits for dinner. My lifestyle has completely changed now; I love cooking and I eat a mainly whole food plant-based diet. But I do also love nothing more than baking! So yes, you'll find healthy-ish recipes here but also indulgent recipes to comfort your soul.

As an Indian, it was extremely easy for me to transition my diet to 100% vegan. When I first went vegan I mainly relied on Indian dishes for dinner, as they are normally vegan, and if not they were easy to veganise!
